NEW YORK, New York, June 4, 2018 — Waystar Royco today announced that Logan Roy is taking a medical leave of absence from his role as CEO and Chairman, effective immediately. Today’s announcement follows Mr. Logan Roy’s disclosure that he is undergoing immediate medical care.

NEW YORK, New York, June 4, 2018 — Waystar Royco today announced that Logan Roy is taking a medical leave of absence from his role as CEO and Chairman, effective immediately. Today’s announcement follows Mr. Logan Roy’s disclosure that he is undergoing immediate medical care.

Kendall Roy, most recently Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed as Interim CEO, effective immediately. Mr. Kendall Roy brings extensive leadership experience and expertise in global brand-building, advertising and marketing, and digital thought-leadership through his time at Waystar Royco. Together with Waystar Royco’s seasoned executive leadership, he will continue to execute the company’s strategy.

Mr. Logan Roy said: “After careful consideration, I have decided to take a medical leave to focus on my health. I feel confident knowing the Company will be in the skilled hands of Kendall as Interim CEO, our highly experienced management team and the best employees in the business. Waystar Royco’s future couldn’t be brighter.”

Mr. Kendall Roy said: “It has been a privilege to serve as Chief Operating Officer and as a Board member. I am humbled to step in as Interim CEO and lead the Company as it continues to execute it’s vision, while my father takes time to focus on his health. Waystar Royco has the most creative teams and there’s no limit to what we can accomplish together.”

In conjunction with appointing Mr. Kendall Roy as Interim CEO, Frank Vernon has elected to leave Waystar Royco to pursue other opportunities. Waystar Royco’s Board of Directors has appointed Roman Roy to Chief Operating Officer.
